Morocco beats Spain in the World Cup

Morocco qualified for the quarter-finals of the World Cup, against its Spanish counterpart, with a penalty shootout 3/0, after the regular and extra time ended in a goalless draw 0/0, to ensure its qualification to the quarter-finals of the World Cup

The first half witnessed a dangerous opportunity from the Spanish national team, and in the 26th minute, after a cross from Jordi Alba, it reached Marco Asensio in the back of the defenders, but the shot of the Real Madrid star hit the outside net, and in the 32nd minute, the first attempts came for the Moroccan national team after a shot from Naseer Mazraoui outside the area. Goalkeeper Unai Simon saved it

During the second half, the Spanish absolute control continued, but without offensive effectiveness in light of the defensive system that was controlled by the Moroccan players in the midfield and defense, so that coach Luis Enrique had no solutions despite the entry of Alvaro Morata and Iñaki Williams, but things remained the same for the two teams to enter two additional halves

And the situation continued as it was in the extra two halves, so both teams resorted to penalty kicks from the penalty spot: Al-Sabiri (goal) – Hakim Ziyech (scoring) – Badr Bannoun (missed) – Ashraf Hakimi (scored), and for Spain: Sarabia (missed) – Soler (wasted) – Busquets (wasted)
